That letter described Bishop Bauerschmidt's position on gay marriage in the diocese and it struck a chord with many of these parishioners.</div><div class="">We talked for about an hour and came up with the name All Sacraments for All People or ASAP. We made some notes of things to do including composing a mission statement and reaching out to other parishes to join in our discussion and work towards finding a solution. We started a email listserv that evening to facilitate communication among the group of parishioners. That was on Sunday. By Tuesday, 25 or 30 more people joined the group and by weeks' end they were over 100 members of the email list serve ASAP. This is an amazing outpouring of interest for All Sacraments for All People. Thanks be to God!</div><div class="">Clearly there is a groundswell of interest that needs to be addressed within our diocese. There are many people frustrated with the positions of Bishop Bauerschmidt and are looking for answers. We are encouraged that there are others interested in this endeavor and we want to harness the energy and commitment of those on this list to effect positive change.</div><div class="">To that end, we need a mission statement. Something that encapsulates what our goals are and how we wish to act. We also are looking for people to act as a representatives of each parish in the diocese so we can be united in our communication.</div><div class="">We would like to plan a face to face meeting that would take place soon. We need to come together and discuss an action plan and decide how to move forward. If any church would like to offer space in which to meet that would be fantastic. Please let us know if any church would like to offer space in which to meet. </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class=""><div class=""><div dir="ltr" class="">Gibson Prichard<div class="">Nashville, TN</div><div class=""><a href="mailto:gibson@prichard.tv" target="_blank" class="">gibson@prichard.tv</a></div></div></div></div>
