I can't seem to connect to be able to sign the resolution. Both Fletch and I want to sign. Do we need to come to St. Ann's?

In response to Michael, no I don't think we are going to be able to convince him -- after all, the full force of the General Convention vote did not make him budge.

But I think we have to remember that we are IN agreement with the larger
church, and we are not alone. So in response to Eddie Robba, yes, it is
tempting to just leave, and at some point we may all make that decision, but for now, at least until the 2018 General Convention, I'm choosing to stay and try to have a voice in this diocese so that we can again be one body with the rest of the church.

In staying and banding together, we I believe we can do some important work.

First, we can dispel what I believe is a myth that the bishop is supported by an overwhelming majority in this diocese. The more we speak out during the Bishop's visits to our parishes, the more that myth is debunked.
Public opinion has changed a great deal since Gene Robinson was consecrated bishop -- the last time the topic was much discussed in the diocese. To that end, I think it's really important that we spread the word of this list serve to as many as we can, so that people can have the courage to speak up knowing that they are not alone.

Second, we can sign the resolution drafted by St. Ann's. It compels the
bishop to at least have conversation, which he is not doing now. For more
information on that, see Henry Walker's email from earlier today. To
co-sign the resolution, email St. Ann’s at www.office at stannsnashville.org.
Thank you, Henry, and St. Ann's!!

And I am praying unceasingly that the General Convention in 2018 will make these trial liturgies part of our Common Prayer and not allow any bishop to prevent their use.

Peace,
Connally

There's a typo in the email address to sign the resolution. To sign,
email: office at stannsnashville.org.
