Hello all,
It's been noted that during the Q&A sessions at church visits, Bishop John
is reluctant to discuss his personal views and reasons for his opposition
to same-sex marriage. However, below is a well-written Out&About
article from this past June, and at the bottom it links to the theological
argument for our bishop's opposition (with 3 other authors) to the same-sex
marriage proposals at the 2012 General Convention, entitled "Marriage in
Creation and Covenant: A Response to the Task Force on the Study of
Marriage"

I'll never forget in 2012 I was at Disney World with family and while
waiting in line for a ride I (unfortunately) decided to read some news
coming from General Convention. I remember feeling very hurt while reading
this essay(way to ruin the Disney magic!). I knew that our bishop was
against the proposals for same-sex marriage, but I had now idea he was a
leader of the opposition.
Hope this is helpful.
Thanks,
- Nathaniel Hudson
